Good Things Come To Those Who Lift Weights


Without including overly technical reasons (eg: increased insulin sensitivity), here’s my short list: 

The Pros:

1) You’ll look better
2) You’ll feel better
3) You’ll move better
4) Your clothes will fit better

The Cons:

1) Requires effort

    I’ll throw one in there.
    Pro:
    Your heart beats slower. When I started weight lifting last April, I had a resting heart rate (a wake up heart rate) of 68. 9 or so months later, my heart rate is around 52.

    Con:
    Being sore the next morning is kind of a drag (but not enough of a drag to stop)
